What Are Veneers?
Veneers are cosmetic dental treatments that cover the front of the teeth to improve their appearance. They are made from a hard porcelain or resin that is bonded directly to the teeth. Once in place, they function like natural teeth.

Types of Veneers

This product resists staining and lasts up to ten years. Composite resin veneers are made from a tooth-colored resin that matches your desired tooth color. They are able to be applied in just one appointment and are more affordable than ceramic, but they do not last quite as long.
The Veneers Process – What to Expect
If you think veneers are the right solution to your teeth concerns, the first step is a consultation with the Valley Esthetics Dental Group dental team. We will take a look at your teeth and overall oral health to determine if you are a good candidate. For most patients, the answer is yes.
After deciding that you are a good candidate for this procedure, we will remove some of the tooth enamel to prepare the tooth. This provides the adhesive with something to adhere to. If you decide that porcelain veneers are the right choice, your dentist will take an impression, which will be sent to the lab to create the veneers. A temporary veneer is put in place while the permanent ones are at the lab. When they’re ready, you will return to the office for application.
If you decide composite resin veneers are ideal, then your dentist will shape and apply them to your teeth in the office. They will carefully sculpt the tooth and allow it to cure, and you will leave with your veneers the same day.
We may ask you to return for a follow-up visit to ensure everything is working correctly, and we don’t need to reshape anything after the initial application. We recommend twice-a-year dental cleanings to keep your veneers in the best possible shape.
